Last week we brought you a series of blog posts on LinkedIn, the world’s leading social network for professionals.

Today we’re happy to be building on those posts with the release of our new LinkedIn eBook, Level Up Your LinkedIn Game.

What’s In the eBook?

Our LinkedIn eBook is divided into four chapters, each aimed at helping users better exploit the advantages that LinkedIn offers to all users for free.

It kicks off with a chapter on building the perfect profile. While LinkedIn’s onboarding program ensures that all users have a minimal profile, the bare minimum is not going to be enough to convince recruiters you are worth a second look, or perhaps even remind those people you reach out to that you are worth connecting with in the first place. We’ve broken down the LinkedIn profile page into ten key elements, and offered tips on how to move towards perfection in each one.

The second chapter is focused on connections. If you’re anything like most LinkedIn users you get and send a lot of requests every month. But do you have a system for deciding who you should add and who you should reject? And do you know who you should reach out to, and how, and when to keep your invitations to yourself? We explain the three groups of people that you should always add, and the three groups of people you should always think twice before connecting with.

Once your profile is looking good and you are building the right sort of connections, it is time to start thinking about participating in some professional groups. Chapter three explains what LinkedIn Groups are, how to find the perfect group for your interests, how to get started commenting and posting on groups, and how you can participate and grow your influence without falling victim to claims of self-promotion.

Finally, a fourth chapter explains the ins-and-outs of the LinkedIn Publishing Platform usually known as LinkedIn Posts. This relatively new part of the LinkedIn network allows users to post their thoughts, experiences, and ideas to their network, and potentially to a wider audience should it be shared, re-shared, and move deeper into the LinkedIn Pulse ecosystem. Much more than just an alternative blogging platform, LinkedIn Posts is a way to reach out, become a thought leader, and influence not only your network of connections but potentially many thousands more.

While there is likely something in the eBook that almost anyone will find useful, there are really two groups that will benefit most from this eBook.

The first group is for true LinkedIn beginners.
