Happy New Year 2016! It’s a new year at DOZ and a new year here on the DOZ blog! In 2015 the DOZ blog published more than 200 posts consisting of more than 250,000 words and nearly 300 images. There were a dozen different authors, both members of the DOZ team and guests of the blog, and what we published proved popular as our readership increased by more than 300% on 2014. We launched eBooks, slide decks, white papers, and a weekly newsletter, too. It’s safe to say that from a content marketing perspective, 2015 was a big year –…

2015. It’s been another huge year at DOZ and as we start to prepare for the midnight celebrations, we’re taking one last look back at the year that was. A Year in an Infographic How else for a company so engaged in connecting clients with marketers to sum up the year than with some original content? Welcome to our review of 2015 in an original year-end infographic! Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve broken down something as complex as a tri-continental business into an infographic. The DOZ team counts a dozen different nationalities and work in offices on three continents. It should come as no surprise, then, that when the Holidays roll around there is some real diversity in what the DOZ team members are hoping to have delivered by Santa Claus this December. I polled the team on their Holiday hopes, and here’s what they are hoping to find under the tree. CEO Anji is hoping he’ll receive a pair of binoculars – but not just any binoculars. He’s got his heart set on the Nikon 20×120 Binocular Telescope which, according to Amazon, run…

On 17 November Twitter announced that their new product, Twitter Moments, was expanding from the USA to a new national market. Of course, Twitter being Twitter, this announcement was made with a tweet: https://twitter.com/TwitterMoments/status/666617189743611904 As The Next Web noted: While it’s good news for Brazil’s 204 million or so inhabitants, the option remains unavailable for Twitter users everywhere else. Launching Twitter Moments in the US makes perfect sense: the company is based in America and the American market remains the largest single market for Twitter worldwide. But the early expansion to Brazil may have caught some social media watchers off-guard.…

In early December long-standing tech site Engadget re-launched their site with a full facelift and an explanatory blog post from Editor-in-Chief Michael Gorman: A year and a half ago, I told you that Engadget’s editorial mission was going to change. Since then, we’ve delivered on that promise, telling stories about how and why technology is affecting the world we live in. Our editorial evolution continued, but the site remained largely untouched. It’s time our visuals caught up with our vision. And unlike Darwin, we didn’t need any birds to show us the way. Welcome to Engadget 5.0. Engadget, long a…

At the 2012 London Olympic Games Usain Bolt did what the world expected him to do and won the men’s 100m sprint final. The Jamaican superstar bested his countryman, Yohan Blake, by twelve one-hundredths of a second, with American Justin Gatlin taking the bronze medal another four one-hundredths of a second back. The first five finishers in the 100m final in London were separated by less than a third of a second. To put that in perspective, this is approximately the same length of time it takes for a human to blink. Quite literally, the difference between an Olympic gold…

The following post was contributed by an online marketing expert on DOZ. When it comes to online marketing, you can have the best website on the Earth but it won’t do you any good at all if people can’t find you. Where do you find the best content creators? Are they on YouTube pushing out regular vlogs and original video content? Are they publishing work on their own blogs and websites and waiting for their big break? Do they podcast, or vodcast, or work in multimedia? Are they freelancers or agency types? Or are they working on a marketplace like ours here at DOZ? All are great places to find effective content creators, but there is reason to believe that there is another place, a little less obvious perhaps, that you might find some fantastic content creators. Exercising. Studies have shown…
